What the BODY does
Housings and bodies carry the drifter's internal components, hold their alignment under impact and form part of the hydraulic circuit through their internal galleries. They are the structural reference everything else is measured from.
Signs it needs replacing
- Bores worn oval, stepped or scored
- Cracks radiating from bolt holes or port faces
- Persistent external leaks at a joint face that has been resealed
- Repeat bushing or seal failures that no replacement fixes
Before you fit it
Check bore condition and sealing-face flatness before rebuilding into a housing. A worn housing bore is the reason a rebuilt drifter fails early, and it is the one thing a seal and bushing kit cannot correct.
